Sea-Going Threads

It has been suggested that, in order to cut down on thread-hopping and the ensuing confusion, we try a watch-based system.

Part of the thread-hopping has arisen because threads, specifically thread titles, are too specific and don't allow characters to move easily from one area of the ship to another.

If we could try to keep thread titles more open and less place-specific, it would help lessen confusion all round.

When posting a new thread, please try to think of an open title (hence 'A dirty business'). Adding a rough time span at the beginning of a post, and possibly a link back to where the character was previously, will help. It will also help eliminate confusion by reducing incidences of re-using older threads for their location (such as two different things happening in the same thread in sick-bay at two different times).

This is a trial, and your help is appreciated. Hopefully it will prevent people having to click back and forth between threads, and will help you by reducing the number of links you need to add in threads.
