Perry nodded, swallowing hard and staring at the floorboards again, thinking. His thoughts were interrupted, however, by the approach of one of the bluejackets, the master-at-arms, whom he recognized from before.

"First luff says this one's to be brought to the wardroom," the man said to Thompson.
