French Army shenanigans

I was contemplating having a dinner party thread with the French officers and one or two guests from the prisoners. Feel free to tell me if you had a different idea as to where to take the Les Prisonniers thread, and I apologize if I'm stepping on any toes; am trying to get the French side of things more active.

It may take some doing given the personalities involved, but I don't think it's impossible.

It sounds workable. Maybe some captured British officers might be there? And at least one prisoner is an officer's wife. She deserves fine dining.

Last night we figured that there would be a total of 6 French officers there, 2 Captains and 6 lieutenants/sous-lieutenants, and any captured British officers (although I'm not aware of any being played at the moment.) Would love any of these to be NPCed, or anyone to join in as a guest or officer's wife.

That sounds like an interesting dinner party. . I'm not sure we have any PC officers caught. Only common privates? But we do have an officer's wife, don't we? Or one of higher breeding at the very least? There will be lieutenants or sous-liuetenants? or both?

I don't think the French officers had their wives with them nearly as often as the British did. They were much more restrictive against women. I think I read about one officer's mistress who disguised herself and acted as an aide-de-camp, which must have been because it would have been impossible to come along without disguise.

@sans, Ah, good point. No wives then. Except maybe the officer's wife who was captured.
