Newbury blinked again. What? Then it dawned on him, however slowly. "I don't... haven't got any problem bein' took, so I don't." He was grinning, finally genuinely.

Jenny stopped and considered. He was too asleep to notice anything at the moment, and it was warm under his blanket, and she had left her own things back by the fire. He wasn't the sort to mind, not Joe. After a moment's more hesitation, she crawled under the blanket again and nestled down to sleep.
