Watches

I know the sailors have been assigned to Starboard or Larboard watches, and that the watch rotation system has been put up -

But might there be a way of assigning each lieutenant and officer their watch by name? From my POV it would be easier to know when my character should be awake or asleep, or on duty or hanging around idle(ish)... Would it be possible?

Yes! Certainly it is. ^__^

Do you have any preference on which watches that Leat (or Fletcher) stand?

Not really, no - they're happy to take what they're given.

Don't forget that watch-standing officers wouldn't necessarily be on the same watch all the time - they rotate because of the number of officers against the number of actual watches.

There are three lieutenants and the master who would stand watch.

Do the Midshipmen not stand watch? Or do they stand a watch with a lieutenant/the master? I can't remember.

They stand watch with a Lieutenant or the Master. Technically, they're not of a position such that they can stand as officer-of-the-watch, unless they're Acting Lieutenant (which I presume Hollom was in M&C - it's the only thing that would explain that, that I'm aware of).
