For thousands of years, vampires have lived among humans, with the majority of the human race being oblivious to this fact. The vampires mingled with the mortals, travelled, created more vampires and took pets without most people knowing.
But because of the modern ‘me me me’ mentality, both younger and some older vampires became more and more careless with hiding their mortal prey and the fact that they were vampires. In the end, this meant that the secrecy expired. In September 2013, a so far unnamed vampire spokesman came on TV – and radio, where television was not available – making the inevitable announcement official.
Factions are forming everywhere. Some humans are fascinated by the vampires and some are afraid and wish to avoid them – and some just want to rid the world of them. At the same time, the more good-natured vampires, often for equality or at least finding compromises with the mortals, are up against the malicious, who see the humans as nothing but a source of entertainment and, more importantly…blood.
Which factions, and even species, will win in the long run is still to be settled… if anyone even wins at all?
It has now been a little more than six months since this great revelation and exposure of vampires. Not all humans have accepted the new world yet, nor have all vampires...
