Background:
Raised in the ranks of the merchant class to a well connected Welsh family, Caroline Blevins spent her youth on the Welsh coast. Her family relocated to Chelmsford and finally London. Secretly she sympathizes with the French revolution and reads smuggled revolutionary pamphlets. However, she is supportive of British efforts. She has been greatly reluctant to marry.
