Appearance:
- A pure black stallion, four years old.
- Large even for Andalusian standarts (17 hands) and strongly build, he nevertheless has the grace and elegance of his breed.
- Tail and main are both naturaly long, thick and curly and tend to drive any groom crazy. They are both cut, but the tail is not docked.
- Under his tail he has the warts characteristic of his bloodline and on his temples two small horns.
- He is a nearly faultless example of his strain, which makes him an extremely valuable horse. His colour is rare, though.
- Captain Torrington had very good tack made especially for him, because his size makes finding tack difficult.
Character:
- Trueno is a very intelligent horse and usually quite friendly.
- He is very well-trained, but has not seen battle before and is unused to the smell of blood.
- He is certainly not the fastest horse in the army, but has a good endurance and is very strong.
- Most of the time he is docile, calm and well-behaved, but he can also get restive on occassions. Sometimes he also likes to remind people that he is a true stallion and can get very dangerous if something is not to his liking.
- He always kicks out when jumping and bucks sometimes if he is bored and doesn't get enough attention.
- He is used to Spanish tack and Spanish commands.
- All in all he is no mount for an inexperienced rider, but has much potential if the rider is a good one.
- The best way to his heart are apples and hour-long brushings of his coat.
- He remembers well which humans come to rub him down and feed him and which want him to work, and saves his bad habits for the latter category.
- He will defend his 'herd' to the best of his abilities and will resist any attempt to part him from it by force.
