The times of olde were simple. When men jousted, women wouldn't bare their ankles, and children were sent to country homes where they would learn from fine tutors and join their parents once they'd proven themselves adults. The time when the great isle of Britain was ruled by it's monarchy is known as 'medieval'....
But the monarch is back. As of October 2012 Parliament has been dissolved and a young and reckless King is on the throne. He has no mind for politics or settling down and intends to run his country in the same way he runs his personal life.
Understandably, not everyone is thrilled with the recent changes being made to the government. But the King has crafty people behind him, people who are using this incentive and that pile of cash to slowly win over even their staunchest enemies. And those under thirty mostly agree that the government was outdated--or at least think it rocks that the King condones sex, drugs, and rock and roll.
Even the nobles are split down the middle. Those who had their titles taken away so the King could bestow them onto younger, more supportive drinking buddies, are certainly not happy--but what they say no longer matters, right? Those who still possess titles and money know that their choices are to get in line behind the King or lose it all as well. So it is that the country's wealthiest and most influential noble people have gathered to Weston Palace, a modern-day fortress and free-for-all, as a part of a throwback court full of scandals, intrigues, lies, and licentiousness.
