What happens when a would-be goddess tries to create a utopia for her people and then sees fit to give them free will?
Elysia's not the paradise it was intended to be, but it's home to millions. The Seven Races have thrived here under Xanth's watchful eye, hidden from their ancestral home of Earth. They're safe here from the prejudices and superstitions of old but there's plenty of danger and excitement in this intriguing world to keep them on their toes.
Elysian Fields is a character-driven site with a large and detailed setting that has been constantly evolving since the board's creation in June of 2006. There are regular OOC contests and activities, and we're a friendly community that's always open to new suggestions and ideas (and bribery by cookies!).
We have site-wide quests and plots on occasion but it's a very open-ended premise: You choose what your characters do! Open a shop, get a job in the crystal mines, train as a warrior or hone the mind, go to war or strive for peace - the choice is yours!
