Patrol order

To Captain Blackwood, 2nd Guards; Captain Vickery, 60th Rifles; Lieutenant Sharpe, 95th Rifles,

You are hereby directed to conduct an armed patrol forward of our lines, with the express purpose of reconnoitering the enemy. Your patrol is to be carried out under the cover of darkness. The manner of organisation and execution of this patrol is left to your discretion.

Task: Carry out reconnaissance on French army rearguard.

Condition: Given two companies of Riflemen and one company of Light Infantry, advance under cover of darkness and perform close reconnaissance of enemy positions and strength.

Standard: Using assigned personnel and equipment, carry out a night-time patrol up to and/or across enemy lines.

Restrictions: React to hostile fire only.
