Accuracy

Post  Pierre De Wulf on Mon Mar 18, 2013 12:07 pm

G'day all,
My question relates to the validity of the historical facts to which we write about...

How accurate to history do we have to be?
IE if i want to take my ship and crew off to find a spanish turncoat traitor and the gold he had stolen from a merchant. can i do it without fear of ruining the story?

Or have myself a skirmish with the english ship or any ship without screwing everything around?

Just curious...
Once i get a difinitive answer then i will start to post some things Smile

Hey, welcome!

Now I'm a player not the owner so Sharpie can better answer this but in my past experience here players have a lot of leeway on what sort of plot threads they wish to write. We do have dates for our various storylines and probably best not to jump too far ahead in the calendar.

Also if you were to involve the Terpischore into your plot line then it would be good to first consult on such a thing but if you want to go after a Spaniard or some such thing, I'm pretty sure that's not a problem.

So then what day are we at currently? i have seen a few posts for different dates... or can i backdate a thread?
As long as i play against the NPC's then i have run of the waves? cool.

We do 'liquid time' - one character can be in multiple threads so long as those threads don't clash and put him in the Great Cabin at the same moment he's in the hold checking supplies!

Pretty much... Hopefully you'll have more PC characters aboard soon, too!
