I can do a post where the surviving French beat a retreat and clear the area. They would then head back to their main encampment and let their superiors know the bad news.

Outis and I already did some posts where the guys were retreating. (Though of course you can add some NPCs if you like.)

Just in case anyone thought that line was supposed to be serious, I was just kidding around. I always knew from the start some of the French were going to get away and I'm glad they do.

I knew you were kidding, gfic. Anyway, I'm sure they would go straight to heaven, fighting for such a noble cause. Sevière too, of course. Is he going to expire quietly and unnoticed, or are you going to have one of the riflemen looting - I mean examining - his body witness his final breath?

Oh, he is in the act of expiring yes but Sharpie is going to have Cotton come back to the scene of the struggle and check him out. There isn't much to loot on the poor guy as he is just in his trousers. Though I am sure his pack is somewhere by the bridge.
